Trishula Dance Company is a multicultural tribal fusion troupe created by a Native Rhode Islander - Kim Johnson and a Polish Immigrant - Joanna Pomykala. The idea for the troupe was born during the Covid Pandemic in the Frog Castle, Berkshires, where Kim and Joanna escape often to celebrate their passion for dance. Kim has a background in Belly Fusion Dance and Joanna has gained her dance training as a performer for a local Bollywood group - Dance BFF, where she met Kim. Together, they have danced on stages of PVD Fest, Water Fire, RWP Asian Lantern Spectacular, RAW, Askew, Levitt AMP and Wakefield Octoberfest. Trishula often collaborates with other dancers from various cultural backgrounds, who bring their original perspectives into Trishula's dance choreographies.

Maddie Cardoza (they/she) is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and aspiring novelist from Providence, RI. Their favorite form of therapy is singing their heart out on stage with their eyes closed, hoping their fingers hit the right keys on the piano. She draws inspiration from a wide range of influences, including American artist Sleeping At Last, South Korean rock band ONEWE, and Japanese composer Nobuo Uematsu. Along with her solo endeavors, she has begun playing clarinet/sax with the Wicked Queer Puppet Theatre, and has joined the Nathaniel Johnstone Band playing horns, keys, and vocals.

Nathaniel Johnstone is a multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter who sings about humanity, myth, and whimsy. His work includes the transhumanist fantasy The Mother Matrix and the playfully audacious The Dubious Hat and Other Tales of Ineffable Horror. Steampunk-Music.com praises his “technical dexterity and emotional expressiveness” as he blends inspiration from metal, jazz, punk, folk, rock, and blues from all over the world. The result is a unique, vibrant, and multicultural sound that transcends boundaries of genre or theme. Nathaniel cheekily calls himself “polybanderous”, reflected in his lengthy history performing on stage with any singer, musician, dancer, and artist who loves music and mayhem as much as he does.

SparrowHawk_Photo - AnnaFaith Jorgensen_edited.jpg

SparrowHawk uses music as a path for connection and healing by drawing deep inspiration from the natural world,. As a self-taught guitarist and singer, she was influenced from an early age by acoustic folk and blues. Building on those roots, she embraces Americana and indie sounds. Her style of play combines simple chord progressions with rhythmic fingerpicking to create rich, dynamic melodies accompanied by soulful vocals. SparrowHawk's original songs use pleasurable sadness as a storytelling medium. Her music has been shaped by a sense of place from many different homes. Her songs drift across rocky coasts and mossy forests of Maine, beautiful islands of Mexico, blazing deserts of Arizona, and finally, the sandy Rhode Island beaches which have always been her home. As a musician, she started out by playing open mics, coffeehouse shows, and local events such as the Waterfire Arts Fair. After stepping away during the pandemic, SparrowHawk is returning to music by performing for the first time under this name.

Sarah Lucie breaks free in her debut album Light in the Dark to share the truths in her soul after spending most of her life in a state of unconscious suppression of self, . Her songs convey an embodiment of the peace and freedom that arises from alignment with one’s true identity. Through her voice, she guides people into their inner sanctuary to experience who they truly are. Sarah Lucie channels her music from a higher guidance, and it touches unseen places within us. Her ability to return people to wholeness within themselves has led to her being affectionately known as the YOUnifier. Through an exploration of the full magnitude of our humanity, her songs allow us to feel, accept, and integrate the entire spectrum of light and dark that lives within each of us. When you choose to let in all that you are, you become more unified. Sarah Lucie finds deep meaning and fulfillment in connecting people to their inner world, whether singing for an audience, or vocalizing in one-on-one healing sessions. Through her “Into the YOUniverse” offering, Sarah uses her voice and her clairvoyance to guide others deep into their own essence, to explore and to heal.
