Tarot - A Five Week Intensive

Service Description

The Tarot, an ancient form of divination has spread throughout the world on a mysterious and elusive journey(as mysterious and elusive as the cards themselves) from being outlawed (and anyone who possessed them was put to death) to being sold in mainstream conventional booksellers like Barnes & Nobles. This course will talk about the history, meaning, and practical use of the Tarot. In five sessions we will cover the major arcana, minor arcana including suits and court cards, spreads, and how to tie it all together allowing you a working knowledge of the tarot and how to read for yourself and others. Whether you are learning the cards for the first time or you wish to take your established practice to a deeper level these classes offer comprehensive instruction on the balance between psychic, divination, and the cards. This course will be lead by Loren May, an international psychic tarot reader for three decades Loren’s experience includes traditional Tarot training along with attuned psychic abilities that allow her to provide an intuitive and compassionate approach to reading the Tarot. Week one and two: these two classes will cover the meaning of the cards in the Major Arcana, the life lessons they teach us in our own journey by the story it tells, and how they will accentuate and deepen a reading when paired with the Minor Arcana. Week three: The suits of Cups and Rods: delving into the suit of water and emotion and the suit of fire and passion, we will look at the meaning of each suit, card including the Ace and court cards. Week four: The suits of Swords and Pentacles: talking in-depth about the thoughtful and expansive suit and the suit of the mundane, we will learn the meaning of each card including Ace and court cards. Week five: Spreads and pulling it all together. This class will discuss using the Tarot for meditation, divination, and guidance (including the difference between). Using different spreads we will cover the multitude of uses for the tarot, from everyday pulls to reading for others. Also, we will discuss how to connect your psychic abilities to the tarot to eventually give a psychic Tarot reading. Taking the information from the previous weeks we will show you how to put it all together to deepen your practice and abilities. This class is in-person at the shop.
