The Ogham - Ancient Irish Divination

Ogham, or Ogam, has a direct connection with trees but not in the way that is widely popularized by the known Celtic Tree Calendar. This class’ purpose is to teach the Ogham through a historically accurate lens, starting first with how it is an Irish alphabet system used to mark boundaries and name places. Then, we will explore each of the féda’s, letter’s, meanings, and associations, which will help guide you in using them for divination. We will end the class by discussing spreads and how reading the Ogham looks different than any other divination tool, focusing on the intuitive aspect of how the féda work with each other in order to convey a message. The class will be taught by Erika Mutter. She is a practicing dedicant of the Mórrígan and has gathered extensive knowledge from native Irish practitioners to authenticate her personal practice. She is a professional educator of over 10 years, who lives in Rhode Island with her tiny hellhound.
