The Key & Serpent Society presents the 2nd annual Gilded Serpent Tea! Building on the success of last year's affair, this year the Tea will take place on Sunday, November 12th at the beautiful Governor Sprague Mansion in Cranston, Rhode Island. Our 2023 event includes live music performances by MorganEve Swain (of The Huntress & Holder of Hands and Brown Bird), Nathaniel Johnstone, and Tempest. Dress up and enjoy a fabulous high tea in an elegant setting, gain insight from our psychic parlor readers, tap into some custom magic at the spell candle bar, and much more! The event takes place from 2:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. and offers special VIP tickets and general admission. Last year's tea sold out well in advance, so be sure to grab your ticket now!

The mansion is accessible by ramp with all activities taking place on the first floor. All access will be via the rear door adjacent to the large, free parking lot situated behind the mansion. There is also ample street parking.

MorganEve Swain is an independent musician living in a cottage in the woods of New England.
A violinist since the age of three, she uses strings primarily to compose original music for dance,
story, film, and her band The Huntress and Holder of Hands. When she’s not playing them,
MorganEve repairs violins and bows and teaches violin to children using the Suzuki
methodology. MorganEve also works as a freelance studio and touring musician and manages the affairs of her late band Brown Bird.

Tempest & Nathaniel Johnstone are a dance-&-music duo that craft dynamic ritual experiences. Tempest is a world-renowned mythic dance artist and Witch focusing on sacred and darkly inspired movements that pull from her background in the traditions of North Africa, the Middle East, the Mediterranean, and beyond. Nathaniel is a multi-instrumentalist virtuoso whose music pulls from myth, fantasy, and folklore with a vibrant sound that crosses boundaries & borders. Together they create sound, myth, and movement that captivates and inspires.
